Mario Conte

Mario Conte was born on the 2nd September in 1851 in Biella, a city in northern Italy where he currently lives and works. As an autodidact he’s always been fascinated by all‐around arts right from his very early age. At the beginning of the 70s he receives a proposal to exhibit some of his works. He therefore puts on his first solo show in his native city.

Over the years he has experienced several creative phases which led him to experiment styles, materials and techniques of all sorts.
He collaborated with some art galleries in Italy and abroad where he exhibited several times.
His last series of artworks entitled CARTACANTA (in English “down in black and white”) is his personal vision where reports our current human condition particularly referring to Africa and topics such as immigration and integration.
